Drugstore is DIY cultural space in Belgrade, set in the space of the former slaughterhouse, with brutal interiors and intense industrial atmosphere. It all started in 2012 as a crazy unpretentious adventure by a group of like-minded enthusiasts, who wanted to make a place where art and fun will entangle. It was built out of scratch, investing nothing more than great energy and goodwill, which remained the defying logic from the day one. Since it’s reopening in this new space in 2014, it’s been a melting pot of the city’s sub-cultural life, hosting a great number of names from different corners of the international underground music scene, ranging from contemporary techno acts to indie bands and cutting edge experimental projects – both prominent and obscure. It is also an oasis for local artists and trans-disciplinary art events.
