Peter Baroš is Secretary General of SIGIC -Slovenian Music Information Center, the central information point for Slovenian music, musicians, musical professionals, and current musical events and activities. In 2019 SIGIC founded a brand Music Slovenia as a consortium of different internationally active Slovenian organizations that are helping to improve possibilities for international mobility and collaboration of Slovenian musicians.Peter studied philosophy and sociology of culture and graduated in the field of phenomenology of music with work called Musical performance: listening, ideology, repetition. From 2010 to 2014 he was a counselor for music at the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Slovenia. From 2018 – 2019 we was a president of IAMIC – International Association of Music Information Centre. He is also a musician, multi-instrumentalist, playing for Slovenian groups Zaklonišče Prepeva and Malamor. mentalist who plays in Slovenian groups Zaklonišče prepeva and Malamor.
