Boyan started his musical career as the guitarist in the band who also drove the van, booked the hotels and took care of settlements at the end of the night. After completing his undergraduate degrees, he went on to study Arts Administration at IU Bloomington, Indiana where he inevitably joined the production team of the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival. Driven by his passion for learning about the musical cultures of the world, Boyan annoyed the festival’s director to the point where he got the job of Backline manager for the festival’s 2008 edition. In the following years he was a full-fledged member of the festival’s production team, looking after backline, artist relations and logistics. For reasons unrelated to the music business, Boyan moved to Bulgaria, only to find himself working on Sting (Symphonicities) local mini tour that spanned Romania and Bulgaria. In the next seven years he has had the good fortune to work with some of the biggest names in music and entertainment: Aerosmith, Depeche Mode, Roger Waters, Steven Wilson, Al Di Meola, Nigel Kennedy, Cirque Du Soleil and counting. Becoming a freelancer in 2017, Boyan started booking shows for Bulgarian fledgling festivals and solo concerts around the region. He also got involved in music export initiatives, lending a helping hand to motivated musicals artists who wanted an international career.
Boyan was briefly head of booking and production for Bulgaria’s largest indoor venue, Joy Station, where he put on successful concerts by legends Mezzoforte, Al Di Meola, and the Cabo Verdean star Sara Tavares.
With the blessing of the local authorities of the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Boyan’s Pan Harmony, in cooperation with Blue Hills Events, sell-out two successful concerts at the maximum allowable 50% capacity in September of 2020. With the future of the music industry being uncertain Boyan has been spending his time learning how to make elaborate cocktails and learning another foregin language. He is still looking for those law-degree college brochures that he had so mindlessly discarded some time ago.
