Extraliscio are an Italian band produced by Betty Wrong Edizioni Musicali, headed by the multi-instrumentalist prodigy Mirco Miriani and the clarinettist Moreno Conficconi (“il Biondo”).Produced in 2020by Elisabetta Sgarbi, their filmExtraliscio–Punk da Balera. Si ballerà finché entra la luce dell’alba (winner ofthe SIAE Award for Creative Talent and the FICE-Federazione Italiana dei Cinema d’Essai Award in Mantova),was distributed by Nexo Digital in Italian cinemas as a special event.In the same year the band composedthe 103rd Giro d’Italia’s official song, GiraGiroGiraGi, and the two theme songs for La Milanesiana, createdand directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi: Il ballo della Rosa, an instrumental track, and Milanesiana di Riviera.2021 was a breakthrough year in their career. Extraliscio took part in the 71st edition of the Sanremo MusicFestival with the song, Bianca Luce Nera, featuring Davide Toffolo. Their double album, È bello perdersi(produced by Betty Wrong and distributedby Sony Music) was released on March 5th. They composed,wrote, and recorded a few tracks on the score for the film directed by Pupi Avati Lei mi parla ancora, adaptedfrom Giuseppe Sgarbi’s novel of the same name. Their one-year rise to fame was also marked by theprojection of their music video for La nave sul monte at the Venice International Film Festival and for InAmazzonia at the Torino Film Festival, both directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi.The presentation of their first bookExtraliscio Una storia punkai confini della balera (La nave di Teseo) at the Salone Internazionale del Libro inTurin is also worth mentioning.Embracing both experimentalism and tradition, their mesmerizing sound hascaptured audiences beyond Italy’s borders. They have performed all over Italy, in Paris for La Milanesianaand in Miami for the Hit Week and they are always accompanied by very talented orchestras like theOrchestra della Magna Grecia which played with them both in Taranto and Matera and were conducted byRoberto Molinelli. In 2022 they were invited for the second time to perform at the Primo Maggio Concert inRome to celebrate Labour Day. On May 6th they released their new album Romantic Robot featuring thesingle È così, a collaboration with Luca Barbarossa, and has awonderful music video, directed by ElisabettaSgarbi.
