The Hudaki Village Band – are seven wedding musicians and two singers from Nyzhne Selyshche, a village in the Ukrainian Carpathians, close to Romania and Hungary. For almost 20 years they have been travelling through Europe, making accessible to uninitiated the nightly moments of happiness of wedding celebrations in their homeland. Her ballads and dances come from centuries of tradition, a naturally grown mixture of Roma sounds, Jewish memories, Ukrainian-Carpathian songfulness and Romanian melodious lightness.

When first their ballads and then these archaic sounds fly through the room, you are completely detached. Then you have to open the doors of your heart and let this musical tornado swirl. And that feels so good!
