Lia Hide

Lia Hide (GR) is an Athenian avant-garde, dark pop artist. She is a singer/songwriter, producer, music educator and performer.

She enjoyed a prolific past in the Greek Electronica scene after which she decided to walk her own path, releasing 4 studio albums

(debut album out by EMI-Universal (2013), and her latest one by US Indie Conch Town Records), dozens of collaborative works, remix and instrumental albums, while she composes music for theater and dance dramas.

Her latest album, “The Missing Fourth Guest” is an album influenced by and themed on Plato’s ‘Timeaus’ dialogue : an album that merges jazz with alternative, glitch with cinematic and progressive with dark wave, that was originally presented at the 2022 Athens International Jazz Festival alongside Lucy Woodward, Ida Nielsen and more. The album is accompanied by 8 video clips, which have won multiple awards in international competitions and film festivals.

Lia Hide is a virtuoso pianist and a most versatile singer (with a strong classical piano & vocals training and years of teaching experience) and holds an MMus in Songwriting). She is researching the phonetic evolution of vowels in 20th century popular music vocals for the PhD thesis – she is an experimental composer but a songwriter that loves pop simplicity.
