Ljubičice are an academic, electro-blues, sci-fi duo.
The band was formed when Vuk and Petar were still kids, as the outcome of an ongoing brotherly rivalry. This long-term musical vying made them exceptional instrumentalists, their playing style has broken down the boundaries between musical genres, and also enabled them to find role models in quite unexpected places.
Ljubičice rose to fame in 2019 when their hit single “Jedva čekam rat ljudi protiv mašina” took the charts by storm. Yet, their main focus and dedication has always been playing live, so it leads them to a 30 concerts tour crowned by the performance at the Exit Festival’s Main Stage, all of which was received by ecstatic audience and positive reactions from the critics. The same year they entered the world of film by writing music for the TV show “Žigosani u reketu” that gained fast traction and popularity with regional audiences (IMDb rating 8,6).
In addition to live performances, Ljubičice pursued a career as studio producers, collaborating with numerous regional stars, such as Sajsi MC, Buč Kesidi, Daniel Kovač, LP Duo, as well as world-renowned Bill Drummond. They are gear-brigands from the old flea market in Pancevo who do not shy away from the forbidden things in music production.
The band is now evolving further as their new studio project, Ljubičice 2.0, grinds smooth sci-fi grooves, soulful electro-funk, and man vs machine challenges.
