Luka Rajić

Luka Rajić is one of the most promising young singer-songwriters and pop performers on the regional music scene. His work, talent, and dedication have been recognized and confirmed by the prestigious global record label Universal Music, for which he has released four singles: “Časna reč”, “Slobodan pad”, “Rituali” and “Leto je gotovo”.

These songs also serve as an introduction to his debut album “Deca novog milenijuma”, which was released on September 6, 2024.

“Deca novog milenijuma” is a kind of diary of the 20s, where Luka Rajić conveys that among us are generations that are “awake, thirsty, full of dreams”—aiming to bring freedom to themselves and others.

Each song is a preserved memory from the time it was created and the emotions from which it originated. While writing, my intention is to freeze a moment within myself and give birth to the spark of a song that I want to translate into a universe where I can experience it again. That’s how all my music, including the first album, comes to be. ‘Deca novog milenijuma’ is a collection of words, sounds, and images that reflect not only me but also everyone else going through the rollercoaster experiences of their 20s. With every rise and fall, I am freeing myself more and more, and I want everyone who listens to these songs to see that reflection” emphasizes Luka Rajić.

With his debut album, Luka Rajić presents songs addressing the issues of his generation, asserting that the answer to everything lies in embracing our authenticity. From desires, falling in love, illusions, lies, introspection, turbulence, friendships, and anxiety to surrender, hope, and feelings of togetherness—Luka Rajić’s creativity offers insight into the traits of new, bolder, and freer generations.

For the audio production of the new album, he collaborated with his brother, rising producer Igor Rajić, as well as A.N.D.R, a producer and multi-instrumentalist educated at the American Berklee College of Music, who was awarded the “Best New Artist” recognition in 2023 by RUNDA (Regional Association of Independent Record Labels).

Other creatives who contributed to the project include multidisciplinary artist Emilija Terzić, a long-time collaborator of Luka Rajić for the visual universe and poetry, as well as Emilija Đonin (KOIKOI) and Filip Bulatović MAPO, whose artistry will be heard in the piano sections of the album.

Luka Rajić is among the performers who are essential to the regional music scene—an authentic male vocal, a musically and production-wise playful musician, a creative with a refined identity who is on the path to make a strong impact on the mainstream soundscape of Serbia and its neighboring countries” stated representatives of the legendary record label Universal Music.

The album “Deca novog milenijuma” is preceded by four singles and the EP “Ludim od kluba”, as well as collaborations with significant names of the new generation, such as A.N.D.R, Pocket Palma and Jymenik.

At the beginning of his career, Luka Rajić had a significant impact on the young audience eager for contemporary pop music in “our” language. The single “Ludim” sparked real fascination with this new name on the scene, attracting millions of fans and views. Recognizing the value of that digital attention for his musical journey, Luka decided to bring his creativity into the real world through performances with a band.

His band’s debut performance was in 2021, as the opening act for the band Buč Kesidi at a concert in Kalemegdan. Luka Rajić then continued to follow the well-known boy band at various concerts in the region.

As notable solo experiences, Luka Rajić highlights performances at the Belgrade Beer Fest (2022), Gradić Fest in Novi Sad (2022), a collective concert at the Youth Center with Pocket Palme and Iva Lorens (2022), the Kvirhana festival in Sarajevo (2023), as well as a joint tour of Serbia with musician Iva Lorens (2023). The most precious opportunity was meeting Portuguese singer-songwriter MARO (a former representative of Portugal at Eurovision, who is even a fan of megastar Billie Eilish), when Luka Rajić and his band opened her performance in Belgrade at BitefArtCafe ahead of her European tour.

As his musical influences, Luka Rajić cites Troye Sivan, Caroline Polachek, Lorde, Ryan Beatty, and Taylor Swift.
