Dear listeners, let us introduce you to STONED HEDGE.
These hedgehogs started shyly to grow since 2018, playing covers of alternative-rock songs all over in the cities of Macedonia while in 2020 they finally started to work on their original songs. Angela Marinkovska – vocals, Ismail Kamberi – guitar, Dejan Tomovski – bass and Marko Stojcevski – drums managed to create their debut album in just 4 months (in the middle of a COVID-19 epidemic) in the manner of an already experienced band, as if this is their third hit record. What these young people have done in that short period is truly admirable, with their exceptional and incredibly melodic songs that will easily seduce you with their sincerity and take you into the world and the struggle of the beautiful and honest youth. It is a fight with a strong and invisible opponent, but Stoned Hedge in the style of experienced fighters with incredible ease showed us all that with talent and a pure heart you can sound and look worldly. Yes, dear listeners… this is world class music on the trails of Guano Apes and Portishead. In their songs you can find many beautiful and unexpected things like: beautiful and melancholic vocals, magical and unobtrusive guitars, dreamy and suggestive bass sections, breaking and gentle drums… and honest words!!!
They have created a beautiful world that will no longer exist only in their hearts and heads, but thanks to the magical melodies of the smiling hedgehogs we can all be part of their magic … and yes, we can finally relax and enjoy their music. The material was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Deni Krstev (Bernays Propaganda, My Tear) in Studio 1060 in the period from January to March 2021.
