Svemirko is a pop band. Although their music may not be pop in the classical sense of that definition, they are certainly the ones setting trends and pushing, or even removing, boundaries. Svemirko’s key person, the main creative mind behind the band, Marko Vuković, continues to deliver the promised and the unexpected.
Three released albums, in reverse order: ‘Skalamerija’ from 2020, ‘Tunguzija’ from 2018, and ‘Vanilija’ from 2017, make up Svemirko’s ‘-ija’ trilogy of epic proportions, and Vuković himself continues to compose and write new songs and materials of a completely new character. Part of this has been revealed in the current duet ‘Nosi me na duši’ that he co-authored with Peki Pele. Contrary to the ‘clumsily made object, contraption, or structure,’ which he uses to describe his previous album, Vuković undoubtedly skillfully and adeptly creates refined music that hits just where it should.
As a band and performer, Svemirko brings innovations to their live performance, something that the audience is not accustomed to hearing and seeing so far, and the only certainty is that it will not leave anyone indifferent. Movement is woven into the core of Svemirko’s music, and the melodies and rhythms are threads that will capture you and prompt you to dance, whether you want to or not.
