András LELKES is founder and CEO of Hangvető, organizer of Budapest Ritmo and host of WOMEX in Budapest in 2015 and 2020.
Musicologist and musician, member of Tükrös ensemble since 1994, playing the double-bass.
He has been connected to Hungarian folk music and the Táncház Movement since childhood. Active as record producer and event organizer in the folk and world music scene since 2001.
He is also producer of an extensive series of field recordings of folk music.
He is one of the programming directors of MOST – the Bridge for Balkan Music, an international project funded by the Creative Europe programme of the EU.
