Gülüm Baltacıgil Gacoin is Gülbaba Records’ Project and Label Manager. She has been prominently involved in the culture & arts field on a world-wide basis, based in Istanbul, since 1999. She started her career as an assistant to numerous international artists invited to perform in the festivals organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) and Pozitif, before becoming successively programmer for Roxy Club, one of Istanbul’s iconic concert venues; the Operations Coordinator for the Istanbul Jazz Festival; the Project and Fundraising Coordinator for the Istanbul Biennial; and eventually undertaking the same position for the Istanbul Design Biennial, all under the roof of İKSV. She also works as an actress and translator, but most importantly, cannot imagine a world without music!
