Günsu Yeşilyaprak is Event and Operations Coordinator at Istanbul Jazz Festival and promoter representative. She is responsible for the festival’s international funds and collaborations with cultural institutions. She also coordinates the festival’s showcase event, ‘Vitrin’ Showcase for Contemporary Music from Turkey, which to date has welcomed music professionals from London Jazz Festival, Womex, SXSW, Jazzfest Berlin, Down Beat, The Great Escape Festival, Boiler Room, Glitterbeats Records, Le Guess Who, The Guardian to name a few. She has been playing the piano for 16 years and she has completed Grade 8 at The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Having lived in the US, Scotland, Singapore and Italy for her undergraduate and graduate studies, she left engineering to pursue her passion for music. After working in several positions at the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts’ festivals and biennials, she settled down at Istanbul Jazz Festival where she has been working at since 2017.
