Ingrid Kohtla

Ingrid Kohtla is the Head of PR & Communications and programme curator of the Baltic-Nordic region’s biggest international showcase festival and conference Tallinn Music Week and music & city culture festival Station Narva.

She has worked as Art Director at Tallinn’s alternative music club Von Krahl and as Head of Communications and programme editor at MTV Estonia, directed a long-running weekly music video chart show for Estonian Public Broadcaster channel ETV2, and lectured at the Estonian Academy of Arts on pop culture and music journalism.

As a poptimistic believer in “Nothing endures but change”, she pens a record review time after time and introduces the future sounds and glocal visions of Estonia to international audiences.

Her most bonkers TMW-moments include curating a meta-showcase titled “Brave new sounds of life-hacking, pirate utopias, relentless roar, digital punk, scripture socialism, shibuya strokes and other post-genre aftershocks a.k.a. CryptoMarket“. Her recent pastimes include restoring trashed sneakers and clean living in difficult circumstances.

Ingrid received the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music at the Estonian Music Industry Awards 2023.
