Jože Skarlovnik worked as a technician at the ŠTUK Club between 2000 and 2007 and later took over the post of technical manager at the same club, which he held until 2009. In 2009, he joined the team of Narodni dom Maribor as a light designer. Since 2022, he has held the post of Technical Crew Chief at Narodni dom Maribor and Festival Lent. He has been involved in Festival Lent since 1993 as a member of the technical team.
NARODNI DOM MARIBOR is the second largest cultural centre in Slovenia and organizes more than 1.500 events per year. Aside from season programme cycles of classical music, comedy, and events for children and the youth, its largest projects include various festivals: international summer multicultural Festival Lent, which combines a series of other major festivals, such as the CIOFF International Folklore Festival Folkart, jazz festival JazzLent, stand-up comedy festival StandUpLent, festival of street theatre Ana Desetnica, and summer festival Art Kamp (Art Camp) for children, young people, and families. Narodni dom Maribor also organizes one of the most eminent classical music festivals, Festival Maribor, and the winter festival Vilinsko mesto (Fairy Town) for children and families.
