Starting as a stagehand and evolving into a DIY promoter in his hometown Budapest, Máté Horváth is strengthening Live Nation Central & Eastern Europe team as a promoter.
During his time in the music industry for more than 20 years, he went through almost all of the steps of the business, including being an in-house promoter of iconic Budapest venues such as Dürer Kert and Budapest Park. He also spent 7 years at 3S Music Management, a Dutch music management company.
Horváth was one of the founders of HOTS (the Hungarian music export office) and EPFE – an annual live event production conference in Budapest. In the last 15 years, he introduced dozens of fresh talents and brought legendary acts to the Hungarian audience. Artists like Iggy Pop, Trentemøller, Billy Idol, Bad Omens, QOTSA, Sleep Token, Architects, Son Lux, Morcheeba, Bring Me The Horizon, Sum 41, LP, August Burns Red, Cigarettes After Sex, and many more – for several of them Horváth is their historical promoter.
From the Budapest office of Live Nation, next to his home turf he’s now actively booking and promoting shows in many of the Balkans’s countries.
